Lishka’s World
“Rumors echoed in her ears from stories overheard at Midnight, of the wildmen who made their own civilization deep in the forests, and of the strange creatures that preyed upon them in the dark.”

THE WOLVES
IN THE NORTH, a vast forest sweeps across the land unchallenged. Beneath the looming trees, the air vibrates with primal energy, and bushes crouch in the shape of great beasts to play tricks on skittish minds. Sword ferns, vine maples, and decaying nurse logs pervade the space beneath the thick canopy, and the only sunlight able to penetrate turns a faint green, losing all potency. When the rain falls, mist trickles down to dampen the shadowed places amongst both branches and roots.
This territory, untouched by humankind, belongs to another predator, and none may enter unless they will it.
THE FEY
THE LEAVES RUSTLE MERRILY, and their voices whisper music and laughter that wafts beneath the trees. Thick, spongy moss creates a luxurious carpet underfoot, while the forest canopy casts lacy shadows across a plethora of ferns and nurse logs. In the meadows, tall prairie grasses wave in a gentle breeze, their golden heads beginning to seed atop brown and green spindles.
When the dust motes that drift along the filtered sun rays begin to glow, and the breeze starts to whisper strange words in your ear, you will know that you are drawing close to their hall, grown deep within their forest.
THE FALLEN
“I smell your death to your core. See how many your kind has killed over the eons, so much delicious pain for pleasure and for greed. I see their deaths stretching far back, smears upon your soul. The bloodline contaminates you.”
~The words of the Black Dragon, LISHKA
WHERE THERE IS LIFE, there must be death. Bound to the dark, these immortal beings are ruled by the unavoidable truth of their kind: as one grows older and more powerful, the weaker they become against daylight. Rulers of the night, they are driven by a fierce hunger for life and power. Some may yet seek to maintain a balance with creation.
Others may seek to destroy it.
